The pollination garden sprawls across my yard going from the back side of the house all the way around to the front. The garden has grown significantly over the past few years and now includes multiple distinct sections of pollinator friendly habitat. Today there is more garden than lawn and that is something I can live with.

The garden began as a little project to develop a small plot of grass in the rear of the house that I did not want to continue mowing. However, the success of the first season of pollinators brought about more excitement than I expected and the garden quickly began to sprawl into other areas of the yard.

The most recent additions to the garden have been a large potted section of wild flowers extending from the side of the house and a mini pond ecosystem. The pond is a work in progress but hopefully will further diversify the kinds of guests visiting the garden.
